Onsen Hopper is free to use for planning your own trips. By using the site you agree to these terms.

What you can do

• Read, save and share any page.
• Link to any page, and quote a few lines with a link back.
• Search engines and AI assistants are welcome to crawl the site if they say who they are in their user agent and follow robots.txt.

What you can't do without written permission

• Scrape, crawl or bulk-download the site or the files under /data, by script, headless browser or any other automated means, except as allowed above.
• Copy the onsen listings, or a substantial part of them, into another website, app, database or dataset.
• Disguise a bot as a person: fake or rotating user agents, rotating IPs, or getting round rate limits or blocks.
• Load the site faster than a person would, or in a way that slows it down for others.

What we do

We may rate-limit, challenge or block any traffic that breaks these terms, without notice. Ask first at [email protected] if you want to use the data some other way.

Photos and map data

Photos keep their own licences, listed on the photo credits page. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors. These terms don't change those licences.
