Privacy

The short version: no accounts, no personal data collected, anonymous traffic counts only.

Traffic statistics

Onsen Hopper uses Google Analytics and Datafast to count visits and see which pages people read. The numbers are aggregated and anonymous. They tell us that a page was viewed, not who viewed it. We do not sell or share this data.

Saved onsen

When you tap the heart on an onsen, it is stored in your own browser (localStorage) and nowhere else. Nothing is sent to us. Clear your browser data and the list is gone.

Accounts and cookies

There are no accounts, logins or newsletters. The site sets no cookies of its own; the analytics scripts above may set theirs. Your colour theme preference is kept in your browser.

Third parties

Fonts load from Google Fonts, map tiles from OpenFreeMap and photos from Wikimedia Commons. Each sees the request your browser makes, as with any website.
