Snow on the onsen right now

Snow depth is measured at the nearest JMA AMeDAS snow station within 30 km of each bath, only when that station is no more than 300 m above the bath; 5 cm or more counts as snow on the ground.

Snowing now: 1 cm or more fell in the last hour at that station, or 0.5 mm of rain or snow fell within 20 km while the estimated temperature at the bath was 1.5 C or lower.

The estimated temperature is the nearest temperature station's reading, corrected by 0.6 C per 100 m of height between the station and the bath.

The snow-country list is the 30 outdoor baths with the deepest normal snow at their snow station: the JMA normal (1991 to 2020) of the yearly deepest snow.

Observations refresh every 10 minutes (snow depth hourly), forecasts every 3 hours.
